Protecting Your Summer Toys

Summer is just around the corner (Saturday, June 20th) meaning it is time to get those summer toys back on the road or in the water and enjoy them to the fullest!

Here are the basics on protecting your summer toys with our agency:

  • Recreational Vehicles — A specialized RV policy with the proper coverage will protect you from total loss and cover your personal belongings such as cameras, computers, etc.

Many of these policies offer roadside assistance which is invaluable if your RV needs to be towed. Towing an RV can be a huge expense if not covered by your policy.

  • Motorcycles — Motorcycle policies vary depending on coverage levels and the type of bike you ride. Much like automobile coverage, you can choose from liability, collision, and comprehensive coverage.

Carrying plenty of liability coverage is key. Liability will cover the cost of any damage you are responsible for if you are involved in an accident.

Collision and comprehensive will cover the cost of repairing your bike. You can also talk with us about insuring motorcycle accessories, such as custom windshields, saddle bags, etc.

  • Boats — If you are a boat owner and plan to enjoy spending time out on the water this season, you need a separate boat policy.

Homeowner policies do not cover your boat and you could pay a lot out of pocket for an unfortunate situation like salvage work or wreck removal.

We also suggest adding medical payments to your boat policy.

There are options for your boat insurance, including an actual cash value option that would pay out what the boat is actually worth at the time of a full loss, as well as options for insuring fishing equipment and more.

Talk to us about the best options for your boat.

Call, email, or come by the office so we can answer any questions you might have about insuring your summer toys!
