Daylight Saving Time Ends Sunday, November 5th”

The days are getting shorter and the weather is cooling off. You know what that means? It’s almost time for Daylight Saving Time to end.

Daylight Saving Time will end at 2:00 AM on Sunday, November 5th. Mark your calendar today so you don’t forget – otherwise you’ll be an hour ahead!

Daylight Saving Time is a great time to remind us to do little things around the home that should be done everything six months. Use this change as a reminder to –

  • Check your Batteries – It is recommended that you should replace all of your batteries in smoke detectors. The smoke alarm is one of the most important battery powered devices in your home.
  • Clean Out the Medicine Cabinet – Take this time to go through and dispose of all expired prescription or over the counter medications. Check with your pharmacist about proper disposal techniques. Do not flush medications down the toilet.
  • Test Lights and Signals on Your Car – Make sure that all lights and signals on your car are still working properly. You are more likely to be in an accident (and get a ticket!) when your lights and signals are not working.

Feel free to share this with your friends and family. This information can help both you and your loved ones make sure they’re on time and prepared for the next six months.
